Rachel is an epidemiologist and health service researcher, with expertise in the use of electronic health records for applied health and health service research. Rachel co-leads the Electronic Health Record group in Bristol, which was established during the COVID-19 pandemic, and access national linked, electronic health resources via trusted research environments to investigate the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Rachel is co-Director of Health Data Research UK South West and works closely with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board to develop and utilise the local linked administrative record resource, the system wide dataset, for applied research and improving direct care.
