Ian is a psychologist whose major research interest is the relationship between social cognition and mental health.
While the majority of his work comprises behavioural studies of emotion perception, he is an interdisciplinary scientist who has also published studies in diverse disciplines including genetics, epidemiology, endocrinology, facial reconstruction, computer graphics, psychopharmacology, neuroscience, and anthropological fieldwork.
