Golam Khandaker is Professor of Psychiatry, MRC Investigator, and Immunopsychiatry Programme Lead at the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol Medical School, and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Prof Khandaker’s research focuses on identifying and validating novel immunological mechanisms and potential treatment targets for mental illness using epidemiological cohort studies, genetic analysis, and early phase clinical trials of anti-inflammatory drugs in patients with depression and psychosis.
