Research conversations: Using data held by schools to predict risk of anxiety and depression

  • 3 December 2024

About the event

Mental illness often starts in adolescence and during such formative years the impact can be wide-reaching.

During this research conversation Sophie Fairweather will talk about her work on how we can predict who is at high/low risk of depression and anxiety using information that is accessible in UK schools.

Taking this approach could improve how young people’s mental health is addressed as better prediction is an opportunity for early intervention and prevention.
