The HDR UK Advanced Computer Science Summit: AI and Healthcare aims to anticipate advances in technologies that are on the horizon and discuss the impact these may have on our research over the quinquennium.
You will hear from some fantastic speakers with a variety of perspectives on the future of advanced computation in healthcare.
Speakers
- Frank van Harmelen, Professor in Knowledge Representation & Reasoning in the Computer Science department at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam will present on human centric AI
- Alessandra Russo, Professor in Applied Computational Logic at Imperial College London will talk on large scale machine learning
- Mark Parsons, Personal Chair in High Performance Computing at the University of Edinburgh who is establishing the UK’s Exascale Computing Facility will give insight into exascale computation
- Elham Kashefi, Chief Scientist for the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre will discuss quantum computation
- Honghan Wu, Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Informatics at UCL will lead on NLP and using text technologies and Knowledge Graph techniques to analyse health data
- William Whiteley, Professor of Neurology and Epidemiology at University of Edinburgh will discuss replicating RCTs by use of data at large scale
- Mobuolafoluwa Onayade, Health Data Scientist and Analyst at Swansea University will be presenting on The use of Causal Machine Learning (CausalML) as an upgrade to Traditional Machine Learning
There will also be plenty of chance for discussion and to ask questions and we look forward to an engaging and interactive summit.
